Individual Counseling

Individual therapy is just as implied.. It’s individualized to you, the client. It’s a joint process and can be described as a journey with a caring, non-judgmental guide walking with you to help you navigate the path towards hope and healing.  A helpful therapist will create a healing space where you feel heard, seen, understood, and ultimately validated.

There are a variety of reasons one may come to individual therapy. Most seeking individual therapy are doing so because they want to improve their quality of life in some capacity. The beauty of individual therapy is that it’s only necessary for as long as it’s necessary. Some seek individual therapy as a means of exploring their present day struggles in light of their personal history to find causes and a deeper level of understanding. Generally, these clients are seeking expert advice and immediate relief. Others have already done this work and seek individual therapy as a “tune up” for their ongoing mental health. Some just need a supportive “sounding board” or someone on the outside of a situation to find ways to cope. We meet our clients wherever they are in their process. Most report feeling some level of relief within the first few sessions.

All of our therapists provide individual counseling and vary by specialty. We also offer our clients HIPAA compliant telehealth services for those who need this option. We have clients all over the U.S. utilizing this option, when permitted by law (varies by State). Additionally, we recently added neurofeedback services, which complements therapy and often shortens the therapy process. After all, you are here to get better sooner rather than later. Some clients see us for 3-5 sessions and others see us 10-15, and others for much longer. Therapy is intended to help you reach specific goals and we want to help you reach those so you can get on with living your life!
