Meet Kate – Intentional, Candid Support for Individuals and Couples Ready to Heal and Reconnect

If you're looking for a therapist who is witty, intentional, candid, and deeply compassionate, Kate may be exactly the guide you need. She brings a rare blend of emotional depth, life experience, and strategic insight to the therapy room—helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to take meaningful action in their lives. With a grounded presence and a sharp sense of humor, Kate knows how to hold space for hard conversations while infusing the process with genuine warmth.

Kate is passionate about helping both individuals and couples reconnect with themselves and each other. She works especially well with clients navigating identity struggles, low self-esteem, relational trauma, and life transitions that feel confusing or destabilizing. Whether you're feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you or struggling to find your voice in a relationship, Kate offers a clear path forward—one rooted in reflection, accountability, and sustainable change.

Drawing from her own journey as a Veteran, Kate brings a deep understanding of the emotional toll of service, identity shifts, and reintegration challenges. She helps clients process layered experiences, build insight, and develop healthier ways to cope and connect. In sessions, Kate creates a space where clients can explore what’s been lost, grieved, or hidden—and begin to move toward a life that feels more aligned, confident, and whole.

“Your well-being is the priority,” Kate says. “Life was never meant to be navigated alone. Therapy gives you the chance to pause, reflect, and regain your footing—with someone beside you who’s fully in your corner.” Clients describe her as steady, intuitive, and refreshingly real—a therapist who brings both structure and soul to the work of healing.

Kate works with:

  • Couples navigating relational trauma, disconnection, or communication breakdown

  • Individuals exploring identity, confidence, or self-worth

  • Veterans and military families seeking a therapist who truly understands military life

  • Clients looking for a therapist who offers equal parts candor, compassion, and collaboration

Before entering the field of counseling, Kate built a diverse and meaningful path. Her professional background includes military service and paralegal training—experiences that shaped her into someone who thrives under pressure, thinks analytically, and leads with integrity. These traits now serve her clients in the therapy room, where she helps them break through mental roadblocks and reconnect with their inner strength.

Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Sciences and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Austin Peay State University, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Business. Her ongoing academic work includes a thesis she hopes to publish, further advancing conversations around healing and access to care.

Outside the Therapy Room

Kate’s life is a blend of adventure, presence, and nurturing energy. She loves kayaking, paddleboarding, and baking from scratch—often with her sons and stepdaughters by her side. She’s also a proud fur mom to two cuddly cats and a loyal German Shepherd. A few fun facts? She once delivered a baby in a car (true story!) and was a decorated swimmer who earned a college scholarship for her talent.

Known as “The Caretaker” (ESFJ) on the Myers-Briggs and a Type 6 on the Enneagram with a 612 tritype (“The Supporter”), Kate brings loyalty, intuition, and steadiness to both her personal life and clinical work. Clients often feel deeply safe in her presence—supported by someone who’s both practical and emotionally attuned.
