Biography:

If you need a genuine, kind-hearted, compassionate, supportive therapist, Katie might be the best fit for you! Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Katie moved to the Clarksville area in 2010. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Austin Peay State University in 2013. She went on to receive her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2022. She completed her internship with Trauma & Therapy Center while pursuing several trauma-specific clinical training programs in preparation for her transition into her role as a Master’s Level Counselor. Katie recently passed one of her board exams and will be applying for her provisional license soon. Katie has experience working with various mental health facilities, mostly on the adolescent unit and with adolescent girls. She worked as a Family Support Specialist for the Center for Family Development for several years. In this role, she has worked closely with families in the community as they adjusted to becoming new parents. As a result of this work, she discovered a passion for mothers struggling with postpartum depression and related adjustment issues. Katie is passionate about working with parents, trauma survivors, teens, and kids. Her hobbies include reading as well as listening to audiobooks and podcasts. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their blended family, which includes three teenage girls, a five-year-old son and a toddler (also a son)! Fun Facts: Katie is a big Harry Potter fan! Her favorite show is "This is Us." She can sing AND play the piano! She is an enneagram 6w5 (The Loyal Guardian) and her Myers-Briggs Type is ISFP-T, the “Adventurer.” Her enneagram tritype is 694, also known as “The Seeker”.
